Food and Drink
The really important things in life! Derwentwater Independent Hostel has a reputation for excellent home baking and cooking.
Vegetarian options are always available and special dietary requirements, including Halal, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free, can be catered for with advance notice.
We also have a residential licence, with beers from Keswick Brewery, and a carfeully selected wine list. We do not permit guests to bring their own alcoholic drinks onto the premises.
Meal times are 7.30 to 8.30am for breakfast and 6.00pm or 7.00pm for the evening meal. However, we can often be flexible for groups: just let us know your requirements in advance.
We will email you a menu for the first night of your stay, so that you can make your choices in advance.
View the prices tab for details of our standard meal prices for 2023.
