DIH Fund for all areas
We can provide subsidies based on approximate group size and financial need. Subject to availability, we can also provide free half-day educational sessions with our Education Officer.
Please fill in the DIH Fund Application Form to help us assess your need and award an appropriate subsidy. We understand you might not have definite plans for a residential yet (particularly if things are dependent on cost!) but we are happy to discuss your ideas by phone or email. You can download the application form here, and email it to reception@derwentwater.org. We look forward to hearing from you.
Allerdale and Copeland area
In 2014 we created the DIH Fund to subsidise residential educational visits for schools from Allerdale and Copeland (Cumbria). This was made possible with grants from the Hadfield Trust, the Quarry Hill Grassroots Grant Fund, and the Cumberland Building Society Charitable Foundation, for which we are very grateful. The funds were allocated to 6 different school groups (340 pupils) from Allerdale and Copeland, and all of their 360° Education + Adventure residentials were delivered by September 2015. Click here for a photo report of the subsidised residentials. This fund is now closed for the moment.
